Jimmy Leon Hall's Obituary
Jim Hall passed away quietly at his home on April 27, 2018, his wife of 43 years by his side.He is survived by his wife, Lynda Hall, of League City, TX, daughter Tana Shay Hall of San Francisco, CA, son’s Lee Edward Hall of Princeton, TX and Brian Alan Hall of Andover, MN. Two stepchildren, Chris Thornsberry of Moore, SC and Martin Champion of Royce City, TX., Three grandchildren, Amanda Champion, Isaac Champion and Sarah Champion.Jim was born in Dallas, TX, to father Leon Hall and mother Alma Hall. He spent his high school years in Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi, TX. While in the Air Force, Jim served as a fireman on the flight line in the Strategic Air Command. He spent his working career in the printing industry in Dallas, TX. He was a pressman for several years then moved into sales, where he retired from the Jarvis Press. After retirement he and Lynda moved to the Texas gulf coast, living and traveling aboard their sailboat for many years.All those who knew him saw him as full of life. He was witty, fun, generous, and loved to make people laugh.He succumbed to the complications of congestive heart failure after a long and courageous battle.The family will receive guest on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.Service for Mr. Hall will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
