Jimmy Brook Hill's Obituary
HILL, JIMMY BROOK a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away January 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Jimmy was born July 18th, 1939 to Charles C. Hill and Dora Green Hill in Nacogdoches, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. As an avid athlete, Jimmy enjoyed all sports. While still in high school, he met the love of his life Joan Miller. Joan and Jimmy were married on February 4th, 1957, in Kaufman, Texas and they were just about to celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary. As newlyweds, they lived in Panama City, Florida. They returned to Texas in 1962 and have lived in the Dallas area ever since. Jimmy was preceded in death by parents Charles and Dora Hill. He is survived by his wife Joan, their 2 children son Jim Hill, Jr, daughter Susan Kelley Lee her husband Rodney Watson, 3 grandchildren Josh Markham his wife Joni Lynn Markham, Alex Hill his wife Sherrel Lynn Hill, and Baylee Brook Fouse. He also has 1 great grandchild, Blake Hill making 4 living generations. His sister Charlotte Hill McDonald her husband Charles McDonald as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Restland Cemetery Wildwood Chapel on January 23 2014 at 12:30 pm. Service to be officiated by Derek Strauss with songs by Joni Markham. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the cancer fund of your choice in Jimmy’s name .
