Jim Hobson was one of the most important managers I ever had at IBM.. I went to work for him in 1977 when the Series/1 Southwestern Region marketing organization was formed. I have never before or after felt that I was working with family like I did in the 4 years I was in Dallas. Jim was the leader who helped make it that way. Though this memory is a bit late, I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jimmy Hale Hobson.
One of the nicest persons I've ever known. Great neighbor, great friend, great maker of margaritas. The world is a smaller place.
Jim was a good friend and neighbor for over forty years. He went out of his way to repair some wooden items for my grandkids and willingly loaned any tool I ever needed. We enjoyed spirited discussions on Miss State versus Florida football. Jim will truly be missed. My condolences to Dee and his family. Ernie Kluft
