Jimmy Harold Mosteller's Obituary
Jim passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 19th surrounded by his wife and two sons. Jim was born on July 19, 1940 in Austin, TX to Marie and Curtis Mosteller. He proudly served his country in the US Navy before graduating with a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He was employed at Texas Electric Service Company, Graduate Research Center of the Southwest, LTV and First National Bank of Dallas. Jim earned his MBA from the University of Dallas in 1976. He was in Human Resources for 19 years and was a Consultant with Genesis Systems, Ross Systems and Automatic Data Processing. Jim had a passion for scouting, became a 2nd generation Eagle Scout and was Scout Master of both his sons’ troops. He loved coaching and was also a YMCA soccer coach for both sons’ teams. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beth; son Jeff and daughter-in-law Misti, their two children, Samantha and Jacob; son Michael and daughter-in-law Amy, their two daughters Abigail and Emma; sister Nancy Fisher and brother-in-law Billy, nieces Lisa and Lori; brother Robert Wilson and sister-in-law Susie, nephew Bobby Jr. and niece Katie; brother Walter David Mosteller, niece Corey and many close friends. He led a good life, fought the good battle, always wanted to help others and be with his family. His favorite saying was “what it is, is what it is”. The service for Jimmy Mosteller will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
