Jo Ann Sevcik's Obituary
Jo Ann Sevcik, 86, of Mesquite, Texas was born on July 5, 1933 in Durant, OK, to her loving and thoughtful parents John and Essie Lou Nicholson. She passed away on December 3, 2019. She married Don Sevcik on October 1, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Mesquite, Texas. She was a member of Independent Order of Foresters. She loved collecting owls sand in later years, pencil coloring.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Essie Nicholson, her two sisters Christine and Alene, and her brother JW.
She is survived by her husband Donald Sevcik, her sons John Sevcik and his wife Ruby, Mitchel Sevcik and the mother of his children, Teresa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anna Sevcik, Nathan Flores and his wife Emily, Joshua Sevcik, Frances and Daniel Sevcik as well as nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 21, 2020 at First United Methodist Church, 300 N. Galloway Ave, Mesquite, Texas 75149.
