Jo Brookshire's Obituary
Born February 21, 1928 in Arlington, Texas and passed away March 20, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Hammond and Opal Price; stepmother, Eva Hammond; her husband of 45 years, Ken Brookshire; sister, Ramona Palmer and nephew, Dan Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Brookshire; sons, Kirk and Mark Brookshire; sister, Barbara Clark; brother, Richard Hammond; nephew, John Ford; nieces, Paula Willis, Dolores Geneva and Susan Murphy and many life long friends and work associates. After raising three children, she was department manager of Home Fashions at Lord and Taylor-Northpark for ten years. She was sales manager of Furniture/Interior design with Ernest Low and Associates for six years and and sales manager for 22 years with Bennett-Haynes Associates, both in the World Trade Center. Her hobbies were gardening, antiques and reading. She also loved giving nicknames. She will be deeply missed. Rest in peace. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services for Jo will take place at 12:30 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
