Jo Ella Kennedy Gill, age 95, went to be with her Lord on February 26, 2024, in Plano, TX. Jo Ella was born on December 4, 1928, in Riverdale, TN to her loving parents William Alexander Kennedy and Nora Naples.
Jo Ella was a devoted and loving wife, having been married to her "My True Love" Eric Gill on August 6, 1949, in Dallas, TX. She cherished their bond deeply. Jo Ella was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, three brothers, and her beloved husband Eric.
She is survived by her two sons, Ashley and Greg, who meant the world to her. Jo Ella was a dedicated mother and a cherished grandmother to Greg Jr., Ashlin, and Vanessa. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and was blessed with seven great-grandchildren who brought light and happiness into her life.
Jo Ella will be most remembered by her handwriting. She found solace and joy in the art of writing, taking in much pride from everyone who commented on her penmanship.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 1 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM, with a short procession to Chapel Garden Mausoleum where she will be reunited and laid to rest with her husband, Eric.
