Jo Anne Wilson Smith's Obituary
Smith, Jo Anne was a wonderful, generous wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a native of Dallas, Texas and graduated from WH Adamson High School in 1950. She was involved in numerous charities, church activities and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. JoAnne was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite times were her “Tuesday Tea Parties” lunch with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her weekly mahjong group and monthly luncheons with grade school through high school friends. She always put others before herself. Her family was her number one love and priority in life. She is survived by her husband of 63 years (in March) Billy Earl Smith, daughter, Jill Jackson; son Billy Jack Smith and wife Robin Upton; Grandchildren Janna Allison Jackson, Jennifer Jackson Huff and husband John Huff; Great Grandsons Henry Wilson Huff and Samuel Ewing Huff all whom were her pride and joy; brother, Willie Wilson; sisters, Martha Nelson and Tomi Bauman; sister in law Helen Price; numerous nieces, nephews; aunts, uncle and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Henry and Mary Wilson and sister Linda Lussier. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Friday, February 22nd from 6-8pm; Services will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 3:00 pm at the Wildwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
