Joan McLendon Dennis' Obituary
Joan McLendon Dennis, of Timpson, Texas, peacefully gained her eternal wings on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the age of 79.
Joan "Baby-Jo" Dennis was a loving wife to Donald Ray Dennis, who proceeded her in death on January 6, 2025, a supportive mother to Donnie Dennis (53) of Dallas, Texas and grandmother to Blaise (27) and Dakota (18) and great-grandmother to Sage Dennis (2). Joan is the third child born to Allie Mae and Adothus McLendon, proceeding her in death and leaves behind 3 siblings all of Dallas, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joan graduated from Timpson High School in 1964 as Valedictorian and Honors Student and went off to graduate amongst Who's Who at Texas College, receiving her Bachelor's in 1969. Joan began and ended her career as an English Teacher for DISD, retiring after 40 years of service. Joan and Don married in 1971 and gave birth to Donald Ray Dennis II on October 15, 1971.
A service to honor the legacy of Joan will be held at Church Lyfe (L-Y-F-E), located at 605 S. Greenville Ave., Allen, TX 75002, on February 14th, 2025, at 1 PM. All are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating her life.
