Joan Charlotte Sims Green's Obituary
Born October 11, 1940 and passed away January 3, 2011. She is survived by children, Allen Green (Kilgore) and wife Gina; Tonyua Kesler (Mesquite) and husband Keith; Weslee Green (Amarillo) and wife Wendy; brother, Jerry Sims; grandchildren, Sara, Kelsey, Emily, Courtney and Cody. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gladys Sims and father, Joe D. Sims. Joan was a member of Buckner Terrace Baptist Church and enjoyed working with various childrens’ ministries. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home and the funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Joan’s name.
