Joan Ruth Kronenberger Terry was born May 22, 1935 in Houston, TX and passed away September 9, 2018 in Richardson, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ray (“E.R.”) Terry, her mother, Edie Kronenberger and her father, Edmund Kronenberger. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Terry Daily; her son, Richard Ray Terry; as well as her granddaughter, DeAnn Michelle Daily Smith and husband Trey Smith. She also had 3 great-grandsons, Matthew, Jacob, and Noah Smith.Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed serving others through volunteer work over the years, this included at church, schools, the Good Samaritan of Garland and the Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance. She loved to work in her yard and always kept it perfect. She also enjoyed attending her great grandson’s sporting events. She was an avid sports fan, especially her beloved Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks!Her funeral service will be held Friday, September 14, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 1333 Beltline Rd. in Garland, TX. Burial immediately to follow at Restland Cemetery.In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA or the American Cancer Society.Funeral arrangements for Ms. Joan Ruth Terry have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
