Joann "Nana" Fogarty's Obituary
Joann Nana” Fogarty was born April 25, 1934 in Cooper, Texas and passed away December 25, 2016 in Carrollton, Texas, at home surrounded with love by her granddaughters and daughter-in-law. Joann was a devoted grandmother, wonderful mother and friend to many. The love she had for her granddaughters shined through until her very last days. Joann encouraged her granddaughters every day to be everything they possibly could, and provided incredible amounts of love, support and delicious food from the moment they were born. She instilled a strong work ethic and fierce attitude in her granddaughters who will carry on those values throughout their lives. She was outspoken and strong minded, but could never say no to someone in need. From her devotion to her granddaughters, to all of the children she helped care for over the years, her love for others was evident. She is preceded in death by husband Daniel Fogarty, step-daughter Dana O’Connor, and siblings. She is survived by son Howard of Carrollton, TX, granddaughter Tiffani of Addison, TX, granddaughter Danielle of Carrollton, TX, and daughter-in-law Bea of Carrollton, TX. Special thanks to daughter-in-law, Bea and granddaughters Tiffani and Danielle for helping make her last weeks at home comfortable and filled with so much love. Joann is a woman who loved and who was loved deeply in life, and who will be cherished in the hearts of all she touched for the rest of their lives. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Restland Wildwood Chapel.
