JoAnn Whitney's Obituary
JoAnn Whitney, age 79 of Carrollton, TX, passed away on Monday, October 30th, 2017 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Whitney was born on June 26th, 1938 in Cooper, TX to William Bartlett and Florence Anderson. She married Jerry Whitney on March 4th, 1955 in Dallas, TX. She worked at Taylor Publishing, volunteered at Senior Adult Services in Carrollton, and also at her church, First Baptist Hebron. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and traveling across the U.S. with her husband. She loved going to see movies, going shopping, and being with her church family. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Whitney; her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Daryl Bradley; two brothers, Harold Bartlett and Bobby Bartlett; three granddaughters, Heather Kudlicki, Macy Blayney, and Peyton Bradley; four nieces, Karen Fountain, Terrie Bartlett, Mindi Taylor, and Amy Arias; one nephew, Brian Bartlett; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Royce Bartlett, and niece Lorrie Hinken.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Hebron to refurbish the stained glass windows that were so loved by JoAnn. Graveside Service is on Friday, November 3, at 1 PM at Restland Cemetery.
