JoAnn Wilson, age 89, of Fairview, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. Born on April 19, 1936, in Denton, Texas, to Ruth and Revy Matthews, JoAnn lived a life full of love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
JoAnn was known for her radiant personality, her warmth, and her deep love for people. She had an adventurous spirit and a passion for world travel, exploring far and wide with curiosity and joy. Her stories and experiences inspired those around her and reflected a life well-lived.
Professionally, JoAnn was a trailblazer in real estate, dedicating over 40 years to her career with Ebby Halliday Realtors. Her commitment, integrity, and excellence earned her numerous Top Producer awards and the respect of colleagues and clients alike. She was not only a successful businesswoman but also a mentor and friend to many in the industry.
On April 16, 1954, JoAnn married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Beverly Hugh Wilson, in Denton, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and shared dreams. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her sister, Jean Denney of Tampa, Florida.
JoAnn’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kelli Henderson of Southlake, TX; her cherished grandchildren, Ashleigh Bowers and husband David of Colorado Springs, CO, and Adam Henderson and wife Carissa of Cedar Hill, TX; and her adored great-granddaughters, Leighton and Emily Bowers of Colorado Springs, CO.
She also leaves behind many beloved extended family members, including nephew Jerry Denney and wife Susan of Tampa, FL; Larry Denney of Tampa, FL; niece Denise Dickerson and husband Tom of Tampa, FL; Jim and Melalee Camak of Irving, TX; Mark and Tammy Wilson of Flower Mound, TX; Joe A. and Cindy Staley of Trophy Club, TX; Jay Curlin of Cedar Park, TX; John and Sheila Curlin of Keller, TX; Don Kehn Jr. of Houston, TX; and David Kehn of Denver, CO.
A memorial service is on schedule for October 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Restland's Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243, with an inurnment to follow. There will also be a reception at Restland's Event Center following the services to continue commemorating JoAnn's memory.
