JoAnne Burgess' Obituary
Jo Anne Brindley Burgess passed away on July 30, 2016. Born and raised in Dallas, she attended Southern Methodist University where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Throughout Jo Anne’s life she maintained a close relationship with her sorority sisters. While attending SMU Law School, she married Hubert Lee Burgess and together they raised three children. Jo Anne and Hubert were a devoted couple until his death in 2013. In addition to raising a family, Jo Anne was an Interior Designer and worked for a handful of private clients. Jo Anne and Hubert loved hiking and skiing and spent much of their time in Aspen, Colorado. They also enjoyed playing tennis and were members of Canyon Creek Country Club. They are survived by their children David, Lynn and Chuck, granddaughter Teresa, Hubert’s brother Jimmy and nephew and nieces. An entombment ceremony will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 6th in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
