Sandra Quintero
I will forever be indebted to APO and UT vs OU for meeting Jo and Tony, who opened their home to us who came for the UT Texas flag run. We all showed up at their home to rest and dress in Shineboys for the game. But I really got to know and love them, after I asked Patti if she needed any help the week before her wedding with David Paul, and she said "Yes!", so I asked for time off to help her run around town for a myriad of errands, working as her sous, and with whatever needed to get done. Many road trips and years have passed, but Jo's effusive joy was always constant. It was always a heartfelt treasure to see and know her. While it was heartbreaking that Patti, Chris, my sister and I lost our mothers in the same week, it was also peacefully reassuring in that we knew that our mothers had well earned their rest in heaven. It is a lot louder up there, because oh, the stories they have been sharing!!! I hope they have enough whiskey for Jo and margaritas for Mama. They will keep everyone in tears of laughter...until we meet again and love always, Sandra C Quintero
