Joe Morris Ausere''s Obituary
Joe Auseré, age 86, surrounded by family at his North Dallas home, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Joe was born in Miami, Arizona to immigrant parents, José Auseré Sanchez and Josefa Sanchez Muro. Joe’s family moved to Phoenix a few years after he was born. He graduated from Phoenix Union High School and studied at Arizona State University, where he graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering in 1951. Joe began working at an early age. From the time he was 10 until he was 12 years old, he sold newspapers and corsages on a street corner in downtown Phoenix. In seventh grade, Joe was hired by a local bakery, working early in the morning before going to school. At age 13 in 1942, he was hired by Rainbo Bakeries, a national bread baking company, to grease baking pans. Joe was promoted to packaging foreman when he was 15. Upon graduation from college, Joe was given a bread route until 1952 when he became an employee of Campbell Taggart, the parent company of Rainbo Bakeries. He remained at Campbell Taggart for the rest of his career, advancing to become President and CEO of Merico Company, a division of Campbell Taggart. Joe Auseré is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Pilar(Pearl) and Mary, brothers Aurelio(Joe) and Fidelito . He is survived by his adoring wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Ann, his daughters, Melinda Kirkland and husband Tom of Heath, TX, Leigh Ann Hatchett and husband Ross of North Garland, TX, and son Michael and wife Julie of Canton, Connecticut. He delighted in his grandchildren, Taylor Kirkland and wife Kelsey, Jordan Kirkland, Natalie Hatchett, Peyton Hatchett, Rachel Auseré, Megan Auseré, and Kathryn Auseré, and great grandson Brady Kirkland, son of Taylor and Kelsey. Joe is also survived by many treasured family members and a multitude of friends. Joe’s family and friends adored him. He put his family above all else. He encouraged others with his positive and encouraging outlook. He impacted others throughout his entire life. Joe knew and loved the Lord. The Lord provided in amazing ways during Joe’s final days on earth, sending angels on earth to care and love on him through his last moments. We know that Joe is now entertaining the angels in heaven, telling stories and jokes with that big grin and a twinkle in his eyes. A visitation will be held Friday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24, at 11:30 am at Restland Funeral Home. Joe’s life will then be celebrated at a memorial service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at The Heights Baptist Church, 201 W Renner Road, Richardson, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army at donate.salvationarmyusa.org, an organization that helped provide for Joe and his siblings during childhood.
