Joe Barry Drake's Obituary
Born on January 17, 1927 in Commerce, Texas and passed away on November 24, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents Alvah and Nora Drake and six brothers and sisters. Survived by his wife of 64 years Barbara Drake, daughter; Celinda Drake, son; Bob Drake and wife Pam, daughter; Jodi Webber and husband Steve, grandchildren; Dr. Kelsey Bailey and her husband Stephen, Robert June, Brittany Burridge and husband Chad, Harris Drake, Stone Webber and Marin Webber, and great grandchildren; Audrey Burridge and Wyatt Burridge. He worked for Allstate Insurance as a Human Resources professional for 35 years. After he returned he and his wife traveled extensively. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 2:00- 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 1:30 PM at the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Restland at 4:00 PM. Joe was a founding member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church.
