Joe McCurdy's Obituary
McCurdy, Joe, 66, of Richardson, Texas died on Tuesday, September 23, 2010. He was born at home on March 11, 1944, in Glennville, Georgia to the late Virginia Surrency McCurdy and William Glanton McCurdy. He graduated from Glennville High School in 1962 and from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1966. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joy McCurdy. He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Ann Beckham McCurdy, daughter: Whitney Beckham McCurdy of Richardson, Texas. He is also survived by one brother: Jimmy Barnes McCurdy and his wife, Janis, of Glennville, Georgia; one sister: Jayne McCurdy Bennett and her husband, Buddy, of Screven, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives, and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel with Dr. Neil Ashcraft and Rev. Dr. Marshall Zieman officiating. A graveside burial is pending at Southside Cemetery in Inverness, Mississippi, with Dr. Danny Prather officiating.
