Joe and Virginia Pipins' Obituary
Pipins, Virginia Ann (born January 14, 1931) and Joe Kenneth (born March 11, 1931), known by family and friends as “Granna and Gramps,” passed away on June 20, 2013 in Garland, Texas. Both were 82. They are survived by four children, Jotina White, LeAnn Sain, Chris Pipins, and Eric Pipins and wife, Robin; 8 grandchildren, Karri Fatheree and husband, Michael, Kelli Murthy and husband, Ro, Ashley Pipins and husband, Lee , Dustin Sain (Stacey), Carissa Pipins, Doug Pipins, Carlee Pipins, and Kenneth Pipins; and 9 great-grandchildren, Mikaila, Makenzi, Ethan, Laela, Autumn, Ailana, Dhillon, Jay’ven, and Kameron. Joe and Virginia were high school sweethearts and continued their loving relationship for 63 fabulous years. Virginia worked as an accountant for 40 years at Owens Country Sausage, while Joe Kenneth served in the U.S. Army in Korea for 2 years, served in the Army reserves for 8 years, and worked 31 years at Texas Instruments as an engineer. After Joe and Virginia retired, they cherished family events and loved spending time with their grandkids and great-grandkids. Gramps spent most his free time building and crafting in his hand-built workshop, while Granna spent her time sewing or keeping up with her favorite local teams which included the Cowboys and Rangers. Joe Kenneth and Virginia will be missed dearly by family and friends, but there are many fond memories that will be everlasting. We love you, Gramps and Granna. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2013 and Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 24. Both events will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel.
