Joel Andrew Skorburg's Obituary
Joel Andrew Skorburg was born March 31, 1964 in Aurora, Missouri to Rev. and Mrs. J. Russell Skorburg. He graduated from Harrison High School in Arkansas with honors and then went on to graduate from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science. Following graduation, he was employed by EDS. He died on July 16th. He is survived by his partner of 17 years, Kent Melancon; his parents, Russ and Ruth Skorburg; his sister, Julia Archos and her husband John; his brothers, Jim and his wife Susan, Jon and his wife Mary Ann, and Jared and his wife Joy; nieces and nephews, Hannah Archos, April and Matt Levison, James Skorburg, and Gus and Megan Skorburg; his Godson, Trevor; Connor and Kaitlyn Skorburg; his great-nephews, David, Cole, and Spencer. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Assoc., PO Box 22718, Okla. City, OK 73123-1718.
