Joey Chi Lang's Obituary
It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Joey Chi Lang on April 22, 2025.
Joey was born on April 19, 1970, in Saigon, Vietnam to Phuong Hue Vuong and Tuyen Trong Lang. He spent his early years in Vietnam before immigrating to the United States in 1979, where he built a life centered around family, kindness, and loyalty.
Family was at the heart of everything Joey did. He cared for his mother with unwavering love and patience, making sure she was cared for every step of the way. Joey lived by clear and heartfelt values—being there for those he loved, helping others without hesitation, and treating everyone with kindness and respect. These qualities reflected his deep passion and generous heart.
Joey found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with loved ones, cheering on all the Dallas sports teams, bowling with family and friends, traveling on cruises, and listening to music. He also had a soft spot for animals. These simple joys reflected the love he had for life and the people around him.
One of Joey’s greatest gifts was making everyone feel welcomed. In his presence, no one remained a stranger for long. He had a way of putting others at ease just by being himself, and he never missed an opportunity to make a new friend. His kindness and warmth left a mark on everyone who knew him.
He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. His memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for the life he lived and the love he gave.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
