John Erwin Adams' Obituary
Adams,John Erwin age 80, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 2, 2013. John was a life-long Dallas resident and member of White Rock Church of Christ. He will be remembered as a loving, considerate friend to all, a man that never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He was a 50 year member of Roy Stanley Masonic Lodge, 33′ Scottish Rite, and Hella Shriner and a member of Claude L. Austin Masonic Lodge. John was the longtime owner of Adams Paint Center of which he recently retired. It was more than just a paint store; it was a gathering place for his many friends. John(Pop Pop) is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Edna; children, Paula and Chuck Nowlin, Cathy and Skip Muller; granddaughters Lauren Wolf Trahan, Michelle Muller Marinis, Holly Nowlin Mabrito, and Morgan Muller, and great-grandsons Pearce, Rylan and Brandt Marinis; brothers, Tom Adams and Garland Bradley and sisters, Ellen Thrash and Mittie Baxley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Pauline Adams. A service to celebrate his life is Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation is Wednesday evening 6-8 pm at Restland. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital at http://community.tsrhc.org/.
