John Royce Ausley's Obituary
JOHN R. AUSLEY, of Mesquite, TX was born September 14, 1928, to the late Norwood M. and Alma Paschall Ausley. He died on September 6, 2017, in Mesquite.John began his career as a pressman for Tigert Printing Company at the age of 16 while attending Crozier Technical High School. He later went on to become co-owner of PM Press, after which he owned and operated Corsicana Graphics.He served in the U.S. Air Force and obtained the rank of Corporal. He was an active member of Oates Drive Baptist Church, as well as the Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force.John loved God, his wife, and family, above all else. He always helped those in need, from neighbors to stranded motorists on the highway. His love of flying motivated his years of service to the Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force in Corsicana and to his work on their annual AirSho.John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ella Sparks Ausley. He is also survived by his three daughters, Gloria (Jim) Ratley of Georgetown, TX; Linda (Charlie) Pimentel of Mesquite, TX; and Dianne (Scott) Blair of Cedar Hill, TX; as well as eight grandchildren, Matthew (Edelia) Rhoades; Nikki (James) Brezik; Julie (Brian) Brzozowski; Jennifer Cook; Jeff Blair; and Benjamin Pimentel (Michelle), Leslie (Stuart) Simpson, Sarah (Steven) Geter and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Restland Memorial Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coyote Squadron-CAF (Commemorative Air Force), c/o Candace Wells, 732 ACR #3582, Palestine, TX 75803 or Building Fund at Oates Drive Baptist Church, 2805 Oates Drive, Mesquite, TX 75150.
