John was a gentle soul who, in spite of his long bout with diabetes and heart problems, always had a smile and words about how he loved God. He will be sorely missed by many people who loved him.
I am very blessed to have known John for many years. He always enriched those around him and his wonderful bass playing always set the tone and rhythm of each song he ever played. He was a great band mate and now God has one more "Great one" in HIS Band. Amen
I had no idea his middle name was Lester. He and James were the same age. I'm so glad that Facebook gave me the opportunity to know this cousin of mine. We had a lot in common. I'm sorry, Ann. Peace be with you.
