John Robert Biar's Obituary
BIAR, JOHN ROBERT Biar, John Robert “Bob” John Robert “Bob” Biar, 83, was called by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to his Heavenly home on January 22, 2011. He was born January17, 1928, in Dallas, TX, to Herman and Josepha Biar, who precede him in death, as well as his older brother, Herman, who died as an infant. Bob was a graduate of North Dallas High School and SMU. After completing his education, he served as a corporal in the U.S. Army. In 1953, he married Betty Jane Rowzee, who preceded him in death on November 30, 2010, after 57 years of marriage. He worked for Dallas County, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church for 46 years, where he and Betty raised their three children. Bob lived for his Lord and was a faithful servant. He was never without a smile or kind word, always ready to help out a friend in need. However, he was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. There are not enough hours in the day to say how much we love and will miss our dad. He was truly “one-of-a-kind”, a wonderful Christian man who dearly loved Jesus. He is survived by his three children: daughter, Valerie Stalets and son-in-law Scott Stalets; son, John Biar and daughter-in- law Darlene Biar; daughter, Lisa Biar; grandchildren, Meredith Stalets, Jonathan Biar and his wife Ashley, Jacob Biar, Kristina Biar, Kaitlyn Biar; great-grandchild, Kaden John, son of Jonathan and Ashley; brother Richard T. Biar, sister Barbara A. Dretke, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and friends. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the ICU staff at Baylor Garland, who worked tirelessly and with great compassion to help dad. We also would like to thank Chambrel in Garland, where mom and dad lived the past two years … we deeply appreciate the love and care you gave our parents. We also appreciate the prayers and support we have received from Reverend Randall Haedge and Reverend Luke Madsen, our ministers at Bethel. Our final thanks are for Dr. Nhu Tran, mom and dad’s doctor, and her husband, Dui Tran. We will never forget the wonderful love and care you gave our parents. You are both truly God’s angels on earth. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Tuesday at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 11211 E. NW Hwy, Dallas, TX 75238. Officiating will be Rev. Randall Haedbge, Rev. Luke Madsen.
