John Edward Blanton was born October 26, 1948 in Corpus Christie, TX. He departed this life unexpectedly on November 14, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas. John was preceded in death by father, Jack E. Blanton; mother, Hillka “Pat” Blanton; and daughter, Brooke Blanton-Bain. He is survived by brother, James Blanton and wife Karen; and niece Kimberly Blanton-Day. He was a respected mechanical engineer, admired colleague and adored friend, and will be missed dearly. A Celebration of John’s Life is being planned at this time.
