John Lenon Borders' Obituary
On Thursday, August 6, 2009, the Lord called Mr. John L. Borders from labor to reward. Born August 10, 1921, the only son of John L. and Lula Borders in Chireno,TX. Mr. Borders received some formal education. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Mr. Borders had a great love for his family, and all those who came to know him. He had a great compassion for those in need, so much so that he made sure he instilled that in his family. He worked for Dixie Wax Paper Company for many years, and also with Texas Instruments retiring in the late 80’s. Mr. Borders was a grateful man. When asked “How are you Mr. Borders,” his reply was always “nicely, I thank you,” and the Lord saw fit to take him home. April 14, 1941 he married Lazelle Beasley and they were blessed with 64 years of marriage, until she was called home in May 2005. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Eddie Borders, Freddie Minor, and Earlie Sebron, and one daughter-Faye Johnson Mobley. He leaves to cherish all the fond memories: 5 sons-Gerald Borders (Helen), John M. Borders, Sr. (Cleopatra), Richard A. Borders, Sr., (Leisa), Randy G. Borders (Sharon), Stanley Borders (Vickie) 3 daughters-Carolyn Borders, Debra Graves (Michael), Gaye Crosby (Bernard) 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
