John M. Brin's Obituary
John Marion Brin, born May 18, 1935 in Ardmore Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2024, at the age of 89. John owned and operated his family business Primrose Oil Company for an extraordinary 60 years. While his focus was often on building the company and personal pursuits, his family and loved ones remained an important part of his life in 1938 John moved to Dallas Texas, with his mother, a city he grew to adore and where he would spend the majority of his life. John was also an avid sportsman, finding joy and camaraderie in outdoor pursuits. Whether on the water, in the field, or cheering on his favorite teams, his enthusiasm was contagious and brought together many who shared his love of sports and a good time. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vicki Brin; his daughter, Susan Adams; her daughter Sara McClellan (Frank) and their son Caden; her son Nicholas Adams.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Tate. Debra is survived by her children: Ryan Tate (Ann), and their children Junko, Harumi; and Stephen Tarte (Sara), and their daughter Isla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
