John Carl Brock Jr.'s Obituary
Born in Mansfield, LA on January 24, 1926, to Helen and John Carl Brock, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. John earned an accounting degree from Centenary College in Shreveport, LA and began his career as a CPA for Texas Eastern Gas Transmission. In 1966, he moved to Richardson to work for Mobil Oil Corp. until he retired in 1982. John was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Richardson. He loved the game of golf and enjoyed his beloved grandchildren. Survivors: John’s loving wife of 60 years, Marvis; son Steve & wife, Tricia, their children Rebecca Palmer & husband, Greg; David Brock & wife, Amanda; daughter Ann & husband, Jim; their children, Alexandra and Tyler Morris; sister, Lois Mambourg, of Shreveport, LA, and many dear nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: David Brock, Tyler Morris, Fred Mitchell, Greg Palmer, Robert Hollenshead, and Wayne Hagerman. Special thanks to Dr. Rick Waldo, Dr. Manish Gupta, and the caring nursing staff at Baylor Medical Center, Plano. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
