John, I will always remeber the times over the years that Joe and Lisa brought you to our home to visit. Wonderful memories of sitting on my front porch with you and Joe B. and you explaining the true meaning of life and how people were living too fast and for the wrong things will never be forgotten. Tell my brother in-law I miss and love him. I glad I got to know you and call you friend.
We'll remember all the good times over the years, and the fun trips the four of us made together.
Farewell Uncle John. you were a great and inspirational man, father, and husband. you will be deeply missed by the 'Brat' and family who realy knew and loved you. Give Aunt Millie a hug for us. God Bless.
John was such a kind & thoughtful man. He made sure I always had wood for my fireplace. He was a wonderful step father-in-law and a loving step grandfather. I have many good memories of this gentle man.

I remember growing up around Uncle Johns place on the creek. Fishing, swimming and crossing that old swinging bridge, I actually was scared of it and also having BBQ's and chasing millions of fireflys at night. Hard to believe now that I hunted rabbits and dove right there around their house, could never do that now there. It's been a few year since I had seen Uncle John but as memories do, he will always live on in them. Sorry I was able to make the service but I think he would know that the ones that did not make it were thinking of him. R.I.P Uncle John Burns
Sorry for the loss of John. He was our neighbor when the Dobecka families moved to Coppell in the 1960. He was a wise man & I enjoyed talking to him. We had lost touch in the last few years, but I thought of him often. Coppell has lost another old timer who had a lot of stories to tell. The best to his family from all the Dobecka's.

Now you can see things clearly, so we hope you know you were loved. Thanks for the many stories, weenie roasts, Skipbo games, hugs and good times. Coppell especially wouldn't be same without your attention. Keep stiring things up like you did at breakfast with the guys. We're happy you can see Johnny and Joe and Mildred and Liz now.
