John Burns' Obituary
John Burns, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1950, in Natchez, Mississippi, to the late John Dennis and Mary Burns.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Throughout his life, he touched many hearts with his gentle spirit and genuine compassion.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emma Burns; his father, John Dennis; and his brother, David Johnson.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his sons Darryl Page Sr., Joshua Burns, and Jenoah Burns. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the moments they shared with him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life during a visitation on Friday, July 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring John's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Centerville Road Church of Christ. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream of the service will be available on YouTube, allowing family and friends from near and far to join in remembrance and celebration of his life.
Following the service, John will be laid to rest alongside his precious wife, Emma, at DFW National Cemetery, where they will be reunited in eternal peace.
Though John has departed from this earthly life, his legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
