John Max Calix's Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of John Max Calix, age 42, on January 11th, 2023 in Plano, Texas. Born on August 15th, 1980 in Torrance, California, John was a beloved son, brother, veteran and first responder.
John's experiences in the Marines played a significant role in shaping his character and values, instilling in him the importance of discipline, teamwork, and selflessness. He was also a proud firefighter and first responder, dedicating his life to serving his community.
John will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind and gentle person, who always put others before himself. His unwavering commitment to his community and generosity will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
John is survived by his mother Mirian Palencia, father Jose Armando Calix, and sister Sara Lemus. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
In honor of John, a MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on
Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at 10:00 am
