Sonya Caldwell Forbes
J.D., Kay, Curtis and Charlie – I am so sorry that I was not able to make the trip to Dallas to attend Uncle John's funeral service. It seems as if it has been forever since I saw all of you, except Kay, and I would have loved to have seen you all. Uncle John was such a character. I have very fond memories of the many trips to Kentucky that you all made to visit. I also remember vividly traveling to Garland with Mom, Dad, my sisters and Grandma all in a chevy pick-up truck with a camper on the back. It as hot as Hades and we were cramped in the back of the truck with a mattress to lay on. We had such a good time swimming at a lake and fishing with one of Uncle John's friends. I certainly do miss the big family gatherings that we all once had and hope that one day we are all able to gather again and celebrate the family that we were all so fortunate to belong to. I know that is would put a smile on Grandma's face to know that we would do that. I miss you all and I love you all. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers will be with you in the coming days as you prepare for Uncle John's service. Love, Sonya and family
