John and I worked together many years ago at EDS when we were in the Thrift group. We had some significant growth/sales in our group and had to bring on many new SEs into the group. John was such a wonderful mentor and teacher and did so much to ensure our success. He was a fantastic bridge player too. Once we moved to the Plano office on 15th Street, he organized a weekly lunchtime bridge game with Skip Blanton, and others. Our boss at the time (Earl McKinzie) didn't approve of us playing bridge in the break room, so what did we do...we moved it to John's home and played with Pat, Skip, John and me! I learned alot of good bridge from them! Once John and Earl were both retired, the three of us formed a weekly lunch group!
I loved John's personality and wit. We were friends for many years after we worked together. He was a brilliant man with such a generous soul.
I look forward to meeting John, Pat, and Skip in heaven to continue playing bridge!
