John Phillip Elson's Obituary
Mr. John Phillip Elson of Dallas, Texas, age 76, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at a local hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, Captain, and pilot. After his military service, he founded a CPA company from which he was also retired. He is preceded in death by his father, Webster Elson, Jr., and mother, Lucille Elson. Survivors include his wife Jean, son Dan Elson, four grandchildren Amanda, Blake, Cassie, and Collin, brother David Dillon, aunt Charlotte Newhauser, cousins Linda and Kelly Phillips, cousin Cheri Oatsdean, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, at The Wildwood Chapel at the Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas with Reverend Earnest Walt officiating. Interment will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Restland Funeral Home.
