John Dee Evans' Obituary
EVANS, JOHN DEE 59, passed away on July 28, 2012 in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his family and friends, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. He was born on January 17, 1953, to John and Lona Belle Evans in Dallas at Florence Nightingale Hospital. John attended Kimball High School in Dallas; he then obtained his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in 1974, his JD from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 1977 and his masters in accounting from Southern Methodist University in 1978. John loved spending time with family and friends more than anything. He thoroughly enjoyed grilling out, playing golf, hunting and fishing, watching his daughters play tennis and playing with his puppies. John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Evans; his daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Kris Holmes (his soon to be first grandchild, Jack); his daughter, Jordan Evans; his mother, Lona Belle Evans; his brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Alma Evans; his in-laws, James and Virginia Mueller and Robert and Linda Paige; his brother-in-law and his wife and children, Robert, Denise, Lauren, Robby and Michael Paige; his sister-in law and her husband and children, Kristi, Matt, Logan and Ashley; his brother-in-law, Scott Paige; his sister-in-law, Kerri Paige; and his puppies Murphy, Luke and Harley. He is preceded in death by his father, John Dillmon Evans. There will be a celebration of John’s life at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Kessler Park United Methodist Church, 1215 Turner Avenue, Dallas, TX 75208.
