John Thomas Flood, 91, departed this life on January 16, 2018 in Mesquite.John was born March 6, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Emmers L. Flood and Nellie G. Lee Flood. After retiring as a welder, John loved to fish, hunt, and watch baseball, especially the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. John’s greatest love was his wife of 53 years, Bonnie R. Flood, who preceded him in death.John is survived by his daughter, Diana K. Flood; son, Johnny J. Flood; siblings, Betty Feuerbacher, David V. Flood, and Ruth Fox; two grandchildren, Amy and Taylor, and a host of nieces and nephews.Celebration of life will be 12:30 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Restland Funeral Home.
