HOUSTON – A memorial service for John Anthony Flores of Dallas will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at The Pavilion at Woodwind Lakes Subdivision, 7523 Allegro Dr. in Houston. A meal will follow at the Pavilion.John Flores, 57, passed away Aug. 16, 2018, in Dallas. He was the youngest son of Modesto and Victoria Flores of Poth, Texas, Flores was born Dec. 10, 1960, in Moses Lake, Washington. John graduated Poth High School in 1979. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed fishing. As a teenager, he was a road manager for The Sounds of Crossover, a South Texas music group. He became a wine connoisseur, having spent many years as a wine industry representative, and was employed in the restaurant industry, construction industry and credit restoration.John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Flores of Alaska; a brother-in-law, Richard Embleton of Tyler; and a nephew, Corporal Wilfred Flores Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma. Surviving are his daughter, Lane Julia Flores of Houston; a brother, Wilfred Flores of Lawton, Oklahoma; sisters, Kathleen Wilkins of Weatherford, Texas, Diana McLaughlin of Arlington, Texas, and Jo Anne Embleton of Tyler, Texas; and dear friends Stacie Williamson and Hope Griffith, both of Houston; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Go Fund Me page, “Remembering John Flores,” www.gofundme.com/remembering-john-flores.Arrangements made through Restland Funeral Home of Dallas.
