John Alvin Gilbert's Obituary
Born September 24, 19931 in Cleburne, Texas to Benjamin and Geneva Gilbert and passed away May 16, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Roy Stanley #1367 in Dallas and was an avid John Wayne fan. He will be missed by many. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carol Jean Gilbert; and his sister, Wanda Hunt. John is survived by 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. John’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services for John will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
