John Curtiss Glenn, 83, of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Born in Wewoka, Oklahoma to John and Clydie Glenn he lived most of his life in Richardson, Texas.After serving in U.S. Navy he worked as an electrical engineer for Texas Instruments and Collins Radio (Rockwell-Collins) until his retirement. He served the city of Richardson for 26 years as part of the Police Reserves and was a Deacon at the Richardson Seventh Day Adventist church.John was a passionate man who enjoyed his hobbies of being a Ham Radio operator, collecting coins/stamps, and in his later years watching TV and enjoying time with his family.John is survived by his wife Mary of 58 years, daughters Carrie (Bill) Day, Mary (Monte) Bodine, Jennifer (Mike) Bates, son John (Donna) Glenn, brothers James Harvey (Naomi) Glenn, Tommy (Pat) Glenn, Jackie Glenn Evans, sister Willie (Joe) Bobbitt, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.Visitation will be from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM with grave side service following at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243..
