John Ben Hancock, loving father and grandfather, was born on September 26, 1931 in Gregg County, Texas and passed away on September 27, 2016 in Irving, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Hancock; parents, Roscoe and Myrtle Hancock; sister, Lillian Walker; brother, Jerry Hancock. John is survived by daughter, Sandra Hancock of Irving; son, David Hancock and wife Telia of Irving; son, Brian Wyatt of Carrollton; son, Paul Hancock and wife Michelle of Arlington; brother, Earl Hancock and wife Joy of Longview; sister, Joann Wessel and husband Kenny of Little Rock; nine grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2-4 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service for John will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
