John Earle Hedrick's Obituary
Hedrick, John Earle 67, went to be with his Savior on December 22, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. John was born January 14,1943 the son of Clyde Lewis Hedrick, Sr. and Elsie Jean Hedrick of Costa Mesa, California. He grew up in Altadena with his brother, Clyde Lewis Hedrick, Jr. John attended John Muir High School in Pasadena, California and graduated in 1961. He attended Pasadena City College earning an Associate of Arts Degree. He was a member of Omicron Mu Delta- service fraternity dedicated to recognizing people on campus who best personified devoted unselfish time consuming service to the college. He attended UCLA. In February 1965 he went on active naval service at Fleet Training Center, San Diego. In February 1967 he was honorably discharged. He then attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, where he graduated with a B.A. degree in French. He was married to wife, Linda, in 1970. They moved to Dallas, Texas where John attended Dallas Theological Seminary, graduated in 1982 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies Degree. In 1974 he was employed by Dallas Federal Savings and Loan Association, which later became Chase Bank where he worked until March 1998. John had a quick wit and unusual sense of humor. He always had a kind word and smile for everyone. He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Lew Hedrick of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He is survived by wife, Linda Hedrick, Mesquite, Texas. Daughter, Amy Nedelcu, her husband, Mihai and their five children, Matthew, Andrew, Abigail, Alexander John, and Melody of Wylie, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 29,2010 at Wildwood Chapel at RestIand Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
