Everyday's a holiday
Every meal a feast.
John Holloway
Everyday was a good memory with John. There was always laughter, a fun week end, a nice dinner or time with friends and family. I remember one week end when he insisted we have sandwiches for lunch. After much discussion I came home with a loaf of bread and a chain saw one in each hand convincing him sandwiches would be ready after he cut down a small dead tree in the back yard. His look was undefineable.
Another time I drove his boat skiing over a three foot wake of a yacht on lake Texoma. He jumped the wake, staying up on his skis.
I was the only one there to see his accomplishment.
At a New Year party a friend dropped black eyed peas on our
heads from a 2nd floor window wishing us a happy new year as we left the party.
John organized a FNO Friends Night Out where his close friends would select a restaurant to catch up once a month on accomplishments & current activities.
There is so much more I could say, but know life was a joy with him even in the difficult times.
His loving wife
Nancy
I will always remember meeting John and Nancy for the first time, just hours after finishing my GMAT exams. I was completely drained, but they welcomed me with such kindness and hospitality. That day showed me the warmth of the family I was joining. And the greatest gift John gave me was his son, Tom — my husband and my heart. I will forever be grateful for the love and family he brought into my life.
