John Charles "Jack" O'Brien IV's Obituary
O’BRIEN, IV, JOHN CHARLES “JACK” born May 21, 2009 died suddenly in a tragic accident on February 20, 2013. In such a short time his endearing laugh, infectious smile, and tireless enthusiasm for life brought a lasting joy to all who knew and loved him. Jack was named for his great-grandfather, John C. “Jack” O’Brien Sr., and is survived by parents John and Gina, older sisters Nora and Julia, and little brothers Adam and Patrick; grandparents John and Sarah O’Brien of Dallas and Denis and Linda Niehues of San Angelo; great-grandmother Joy Hoelscher of San Angelo; as well as aunt Jennifer Kennedy, cousins Sean and Katelynd; uncle Todd and aunt Vicki O’Brien, cousins Michael and Matthew; uncle Greg and aunt Amy Niehues; aunt Cheryl and uncle Rico Forlano, cousins Sierra and Micaela; aunt Becky and uncle Courtney Strube, cousins Caylee and Reagan; aunt Cybill and uncle Donald Beiler, cousins Isaac and Bella; and numerous extended family. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas on Monday, February 25th at noon, with interment immediately following at Restland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Jack’s Mother’s Day Out program at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (parishoffice@stmichaelgarland.org), the North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club (OBrienMemorial@ndmotc.org), the Esther and Jack O’Brien Scholarship Fund at Bishop Barry in St. Petersburg Florida (obrienscholarshipfund@gmail.com), or to the charity of your choice.
