John James Jackson's Obituary
JACKSON, JOHN JAMES born April 20, 1938 in Clover, South Carolina died January 2, 2014 at the age of 75 in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of James Jackson and Virginia Howell, both of Clover, South Carolina, now deceased. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie Bangs Jackson of Richardson, Texas and daughter Linda Sue Jackson of Dallas, Texas plus his sister Louise Jackson of Clover, South Carolina and his brother William Jackson and his wife Peggy of Athens, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. A son James David and a daughter Brenda Lee died at childbirth. He graduated from the University of South Carolina. John worked for RCA near Princeton, New Jersey when he met Margie in 1962 and they married November 23, 1963 the day after JFK was shot in Dallas, Texas. Two years later in 1965 he came to work for LTV or E-Systems in Garland, Texas which now is Raytheon. The family was able to visit Germany, Switzerland, Austria and London. Later they enjoyed their time together on trips to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and many of the states on the main land. John enjoyed classical music, reading and watching War, Cowboy and Classic Movies and even the 1930 TerryToon Cartoons! Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Restland Abbey Chapel.
