John Clyde James' Obituary
Clyde was born November 23, 1923 in Negaunee, Michigan. He was the only child of Cornish immigrants, Janie Jory and John James. Two years later the family moved to Akron, Ohio. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was a faithful Methodist. After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Akron and working 31 years at BF Goodrich, he retired and started his own manufacturing representative company Apli-Tech Inc., retiring again 25 years later. He served on the library board and board of Adjustments of Farmers Branch and was active in Farmers Branch Rotary. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie (Marge) James, daughter Nancy James Lamb her husband David Lamb, daughter Elaine James Simmons Beck and her husband Norman Beck, and by six wonderful grandchildren, two step grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Clyde was kind, hard working, loving and generous. He was dearly loved and he will be missed and forever remembered. Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017. Visitation at 1:30 PM and Service at 2:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel followed by a graveside service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
