We loved John as a member of our family. He was in my life as long as I remember and was a strong, loving part of our lives. We will miss you so much John. Gig Em. Camille
I will be traveling and out of town for the services, but want to express my sincere condolences for the loss of John. I will always have fond memories of John as a great mentor, advisor and leader. He set a tone at the top that inspired high ethical standards, integrity and a concern for the environment that left a strong legacy for those of us that worked for him. May God bless you and see you through this time of loss. Mike McCall
We had so much fun whale-watching and bird-watching, with John always snapping pictures. We will always remember John.
Marietta, Jay, Katie and family; I cannot begin to fully express my feelings for you all and for John. I have fond memories of our family times together at Colo., SPI, and Camp Grady Spruce. Jay, your comments at his memorial service were right on! John Janak was a great friend to me and many other folks. He was a great husband, loving father, and wise Christian man. I'll always remember John and be thankful for our friendship I'm planning on visiting with Mole again in Heaven some day. Jim'57
Just learned of John's death. My condolences to Marietta, Jay and Katie. John and I were "new" power plant engineers at DP&L in the 1960's. We spent many hours together programming and getting the company's first power plant computer system up and running on North Lake Unit 3. Then later working together as John moved to the engineering department designing new plants and I was in the plant maintenance end of the business. John was a good engineer, a class person, an Aggie Buddy, and a good friend. I am saddened by his passing. George King
