John Howard Johnson, 85, of Dallas, Texas, born on September 11, 1930, in Village, Arkansas, passed away on April 1, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. John is preceded in death by his parents Nancy Annie Phillips and Jacob Frolic Johnson, five sisters and one brother. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was kind, gentle, loyal and honest; a man that loved children and animals, who instinctively trusted him. He was an avid golfer and Dallas Stars fan. He was devoted to his family, who loves him dearly and are blessed to have had him in their lives. John is survived by his loving wife, Loa Glasson Johnson; their three daughters: Lorraine Taylor and husband Craig, Denise Reinert and husband Ray, Angela Neff and husband Curt; one son, Mark Johnson and wife Kathy; six grandchildren: Robbie, Leah, Rachel, Ryan, Ethan, Grace; one great-granddaughter Emma; and one dog, Jax. Funeral services will be held Monday April 4, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Entombment will be at Whispering Waters Mausoleum at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral home. 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
