John Kenneth Jones' Obituary
JONES, JOHN KENNETH native Texan, born September 7, 1921 in Farmersville, TX and passed away February 21, 2014 in Richardson, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; four siblings and his parents. John received a mechanical engineering degree from The Rice Institute in Houston in 1943. John served in the US Navy, WWII from 1943 – 1946 in the Pacific Theater. He was employed by Texas Instruments for 32 years, retiring in 1989. John was a registered Professional Engineer in Texas, a longtime member of Brookhaven Country Club and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Beverly Johnston Jones; sister, Mary Ann Bradford of Houston; 9 nephews and nieces and 5 step children. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be make to the American Diabetes Association.
